Houston, TX (Basketball News) - Alana Beard scored 16 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead the Washington Mystics to a 70-65 victory over the Houston Comets at the Toyota Center. DeLisha Milton- Jones chipped in 15 points and eight boards for the Mystics, who were coming off a win Tuesday at Los Angeles and completed a five-game road trip 3-2. Michelle Snow led all players with 23 points and nine rebounds for Houston, which had a two-game win streak stopped. Sheryl Swoopes added 14 points in defeat.

Final Score: Indiana 66, San Antonio 53

Indianapolis, IN (Basketball News) - Jurgita Streimikyte scored 14 points and Natalie Williams added 12 to help the Indiana Fever to a 66-53 victory over the San Antonio Silver Stars. Kelly Schumacher added 11 points. Tamika Catching was limited to five points on just 1-of-11 shooting for the Fever, but they won for the fourth time in five games. Marie Ferdinand had 14 points to pace San Antonio, which has lost four in a row.

Phoenix, AZ (Basketball News) - Becky Hammon scored 21 points and Elena Baranova had 16 points and seven rebounds, as the New York Liberty beat the Phoenix Mercury, 80-70. Ann Wauters added 12 points for New York, which snapped a two-game slide. Penny Taylor had 20 points, Anna DeForge 17 and Diana Taurasi 16 for Phoenix, which had a four-game win streak broken.
