Ann Wauters compiled 19 points and 13 boards while Becky Hammon finished with 13 points in the loss, the Liberty’s second in a row following three consecutive wins on the road.

Washington, DC (Basketball News) - Alana Beard racked up 27 points and seven steals as Washington cruised to a 73-58 victory over San Antonio at the MCI Center. Beard made good on 11-of-18 field goal attempts and added six assists, while Chasity Melvin scored 12 points to help the Mystics to their third win in four games. The Silver Stars, who shot just 37 percent and committed 17 turnovers, were paced by Shannon Johnson’s 15 points. San Antonio fell to 6-17 on the season and has dropped six of its past seven.
