New York, NY (Basketball News) - Becky Hammon had 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists to lead the New York Liberty to a 74-69 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks. Ann Wauters added 18 points and Elena Baranova scored 15 points and pulled down nine rebounds for the Liberty, who have won two of their last three contests. Chamique Holdsclaw had 21 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Sparks, who suffered their third straight defeat and have dropped six of seven. Lisa Leslie scored 18 points for the Sparks. Wauters made two free throws with 1:20 left to start a 7-0 run. Her foul shots put New York ahead, 67-66 and she added a layup with 48 seconds remaining.
