Amber Jacobs added 15 points and six assists, while Kristen Mann and Svetlana Abrosimova both tallied 13 for the Lynx, who snapped a five- game losing skid. Nikki Teasley collected 20 points and nine assists and Crystal Robinson scored 19 points for the Mystics, who were playing without their leading scorer, Alana Beard. She sat out for the second consecutive game with a sprained ankle. The Lynx held a 73-71 lead with just under 1:30 to play, but put the game away as they closed out the contest on an 11-3 run.

Chamique Holdsclaw scored 19 points and Temeka Johnson added 11 for the Sparks, who jumped out to a 15-0 lead and never looked back. Tina Thompson scored 13 points and Dawn Staley chipped in 11 for Houston, which shot 33.3 percent (19-of-57) and committed 17 turnovers.
