The Bulldogs led by as many as 16 in the frame and ended with a 38-24 halftime advantage.
In the second half, Detroit came back and cut its deficit to two at 49-47 on Jon Goode’s free throw, but that’s as close as it would get. Green responded with a pair of hits from the charity stripe and Drew Streicher drilled a trey with 5 1/2 minutes to play as Butler cruised to victory.
