If the things taking place on the court in the Lakers/Nuggets didn’t pique your interests, surely the off the court issues provided some sort of entertainment. And if they didn’t before, they’re sure to do so now.
Rumor has it that Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, and Kenyon Martin’s fiance, rapper Trina, engaged in a war of words during Game One of the series. No punches were thrown, but allegedly neither side was against throwing hands.
The source of the beef is a song where Trina claims to have engaged in extramarital relations with Vanessa’s man. It is unclear if the two were at a Colorado resort when this happened. You can check out the line at the 1:50 in the song, posted below.
So Martin, who will call you some dirty names and threaten you if you tell his mom that he’s a thug, has Kobe’s sloppy seconds’ lips tattooed on his neck. Kobe, who has admittedly been unfaithful to his wife at least once, has to deal with the public backlash of another woman claiming to have been with him, not to mention what he probably had to deal with at home.
Before we jump to any conclusions, let’s keep in mind that many boasts made in hip hop turn out to be untrue and that the song is apparently from 2004. This is old news, but we’re just finding out about it. And all of this is just hearsay, reported on MediaTakeOut.com. Still, it will be fun to see if any nastiness takes place on the court between Kenyon and Kobe in what is shaping up to be a very competitive series.
