NBA Game Summary - Indiana at Cleveland

03.13.2005

Cleveland, OH (Basketball News) - LeBron James poured in a game-high 35 points as Cleveland defeated Indiana, 98-86, at Gund Arena.

James made 12-of-23 from the field and hit on 10-of-11 from the foul line for the Cavaliers, who have won two straight following a six-game losing streak.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas ended with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Drew Gooden contributed 13 points and 11 boards in the win.

Reggie Miller scored 29 points and Anthony Johnson added 17 for the Pacers, who had their two-game winning streak halted.

The Cavs trailed by three at halftime but came back in the third period, as Ira Newble’s basket with around five minutes left gave them a 63-59 lead. The Pacers did tie the game later in the quarter, but Cleveland eventually led 76-71 after 36 minutes.

In the fourth quarter, Eric Snow’s basket with around 3 1/2 minutes left gave the Cavaliers an 87-79 lead. The Pacers never had an answer in the final minutes and got down as many as 14 points.

Indiana led 26-20 after one quarter and held a 53-50 edge at the intermission.

James has scored at least 20 points in 13 straight games...The Cavs turned the ball over only five times and Indiana had 15 turnovers...Cleveland improved to 23-8 at home this year, despite winning in Gund Arena for only the second time in its last five tilts...Indiana lost for the first time in its last three meetings and just the fourth time in the past 18 games against the Cavs. It was also just the second Pacers loss in their last 14 trips to Cleveland.
