Boston’s Perkins has surgery

Boston, MA (Basketball News) - Boston Celtics center Kendrick Perkins underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder.

The procedure was performed by Celtics team physician Dr. Brian McKeon at New England Baptist Hospital.

Perkins appeared in 68 games for the Celtics during the 2005-06 season, starting 40. He averaged 5.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.54 blocks.
