Cavs continue homestand vs. Bucks

This is the third of four meetings between the clubs this season. The teams have split two contests at the Bradley Center. Cleveland will host the Bucks on February 6th in the final game of the regular season between the squads.

Milwaukee has won nine of the last 14 meetings in this series. The Bucks have lost four straight after winning their last two at Cleveland.

Cleveland will try and get back on the winning track this evening. On Thursday, Tracy McGrady poured in a game-high 34 points, pulled down five rebounds and dished out five assists to lead the Houston Rockets to a 90-81 win over the Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena.

LeBron James, who came into the game following his sixth career triple double, had 32 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the loss to Houston for the Cavaliers, who lost for the first time in three games. James shot 13-of-19 from the floor, while center Zydrunas Ilgauskas tallied 17 points and 10 boards for Cleveland. Donyell Marshall had 11 points off the bench in the loss.

The Cavaliers, who will host the New York Knicks on Tuesday in the finale of the current stand, are 13-4 as the host this season.

Milwaukee attempts to put the brakes on a two-game losing streak. On Friday, Kirk Hinrich had 18 points and seven assists, as the Chicago Bulls beat the Bucks, 105-91, at the Bradley Center. The victory snapped the Bucks’ 14-game homecourt winning streak over the Bulls, dating back to the 1998-99 season. It was the Bulls’ first win in Milwaukee since March 29, 1998.

Michael Redd paced the Bucks with 25 points and eight rebounds in the loss to Chicago, while Maurice Williams netted 15 and dished out eight assists for Milwaukee, which has lost four of its last six games overall.

The Bucks are a respectable 8-6 as the visitor this season. They have won five of their last seven on the road.
