(Basketball News) - The Golden State Warriors host the New York Knicks on Monday at The Arena in Oakland. It will be the second and final time this season that the clubs will meet. On March 6th, the Knicks defeated Golden State, 115-99, at Madison Square Garden. With the victory, New York snapped a four-game series losing streak.

Overall, Golden State has won five of the last seven meetings in this series, while New York has won seven of 12 and 12 of the last 18 contests. The Knicks have lost two straight after winning their last six at Golden State.

Golden State tries to win its second straight and fifth in its last six games, as it plays the finale of a three-game homestand tonight. The Warriors are 1-1 on their current stand and are 4-6 in their last 10 at home.

Derek Fisher’s three-pointer as time expired in overtime lifted the Warriors to a thrilling 118-117 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday at The Arena in Oakland. Baron Davis finished with a team-high 29 points and 11 assists in the victory for Golden State.

High-flying Jason Richardson netted 24 points and dished out eight assists in Friday’s win for Golden State, while Troy Murphy chipped in 15 points and Adonal Foyle pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds in the victory.

Golden State, which is 5-35 when it scores under 100 points this season, is 3-9 in games decided by three points or less.

The Warriors are 13-20 as the host this season.

After Monday’s contest, Golden State will embark on a brief two-game road trip that will consist of games against the Milwaukee Bucks and the Utah Jazz. The Warriors will play the Bucks on Wednesday and the Jazz on Friday, before returning home to host the Seattle SuperSonics on Sunday.

Richardson has scored in double-digits in six straight games and had played more than 40 minutes in four of them. He is averaging 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists in his last 10 contests. The Michigan State product has registered nine double-doubles this season.
