Kings’ Jackson to miss playoff opener

Sacramento, CA (Basketball News) - Sacramento Kings guard Bobby Jackson is expected to miss Sunday’s playoff opener against the Dallas Mavericks due to the same abdominal injury that has plagued him for the last two months.

Jackson, the team’s backup point guard, missed 28 of the last 29 games of the regular season.

Last year’s NBA Sixth Man of the Year, averaged 13.8 points in 50 games this season. With no other backup to starting point man Mike Bibby, the Kings will look to Doug Christie and Anthony Peeler to spell Bibby.
