=== Miami Heat Team Report - March 7 ===

(Basketball News) - Lamar Odom posted 30 points, 19 rebounds and 11 assists en route to the first Heat triple-double in nine years to lead the Miami Heat over the Sacramento Kings, 102-96, Saturday at AmericanAirlines Arena.

It was the fourth triple-double in franchise history for Miami and its first since January 5, 1995

Rafer Alston added 20 points, seven boards and seven helpers for the Heat, who have won five of their last seven home games. Overall Miami has won two straight on the heals of a four-game slide.

The game was knotted at 84-84, but the Heat tallied 10 of the next 14 points and they led the rest of the way. Alston capped off the burst with a three- pointer with 2:05 to play to put Miami ahead, 94-88.

The closest that Sacramento could cut the deficit was to three when Chris Webber drilled a triple from the right corner that made it a 99-96 contest with just 22.8 seconds remaining.

But Eddie Jones hit one-of-two free throws on the ensuing possession when the Kings were forced to foul and Sacramento failed to score again.

The Heat won the battle on the glass, 53-42, and held the Kings to 39 percent from the field.

Miami is off until Tuesday when they host the Orlando Magic. The Heat are 2-0 against the Magic this season. Miami one once at home and once at TD Waterhouse Centre. The team will meet once again on March 24th at Orlando.
