Denver Nuggets Team Report - December 23 12.23.2004
|
(Basketball News) - The Denver Nuggets continued to struggle on Wednesday night, as they were handed a 98-83 setback by the Seattle SuperSonics at KeyArena.
Andre Miller paced the Nuggets with 20 points and seven assists. Kenyon Martin chipped in 18 points — all but two coming in the third period — in Denver’s fourth straight loss and sixth in seven games. The last three defeats have come without sophomore star Carmelo Anthony (sprained ankle) in the lineup.
Leading 79-69 after three quarters, the Sonics put the game away with 10-2 run at the start of the fourth.
A dunk by Nene with 4 1/2 minutes remaining pulled Denver within 13 at 92-79, but that was as close as it would get.
The Nuggets are off until Sunday night when they host the Dallas Mavericks at the Pepsi Center.
