=== Denver Nuggets Team Report - January 18 ===

(Basketball News) - The Denver Nuggets visit the Seattle SuperSonics on Tuesday at KeyArena.

Seattle has won both meetings between these teams this season, including a 98-93 win at home on December 22. The Sonics have won four of five and six of the last eight in this series, including two straight and three of its last four at home.

Denver has lost two straight, six of seven and 12 of its last 14 contests after falling 107-97 to the Golden State Warriors on Monday night. Carmelo Anthony scored 24 points to lead Denver, while DerMarr Johnson had a season- high 22 points in the loss.

Andre Miller had 14 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for Denver, which had just nine players because of suspensions handed out for a fight during Friday’s game against Minnesota. Nene was suspended for four games thanks to his part in the melee, while Marcus Camby and Francisco Elson served their one-game penalty in the contest.

Denver, which has lost eight straight on the road, is just 4-13 in foreign buildings this season. The Nuggets are closing out a two-game, two-night road trip.

Anthony has scored in double-digits in five straight and 27 of the 31 games he has played in this season. The Syracuse product is averaging a team-high 20.9 points, six rebounds and 3.1 assists this season.

Miller is averaging 13.2 points and 8.4 assists in his last 10 contests. He leads the teams in assists (6.2 apg) this season.

The Nuggets host Pau Gasol and the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday before they start a five-game road trip against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. Denver will also visit the Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers on the swing.
