Hughes activated from injured list

Washington, DC (Basketball News) - The Wizards activated guard Larry Hughes from the injured list and he scored just eight points on 3-of-14 shooting during Washington’s 101-81 loss to Miami on Sunday.

Hughes, who missed the last 19 games, had been placed on the IL on February 11 with a fractured capitate bone in his left wrist, an injury he suffered during a February 4 contest against Memphis.

In 49 games this season, Hughes is averaging 18.5 points, 5.0 points and 2.4 assists per contest.

Meanwhile, the club placed forward Lonny Baxter on the injured list with right knee tendinitis.
