Mavs’ Finley undergoes ankle surgery

Finley began experiencing problems in his ankle early this season and spent a month on the injured list. He averaged 15.7 points per game — his lowest output since 1996.

The 32-year-old Finley is expected to be fully recovered by training camp.

Dallas was eliminated from the playoffs by the Suns in the Western Conference semifinals.
