Raptors swoop into Big Apple

(Basketball News) - The New York Knicks conclude a five-game homestand tonight when they host the Toronto Raptors at Madison Square Garden.

New York is 2-2 so far on the homestand and recently suffered a 111-100 loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday.

Eddy Curry had 18 points and Jamal Crawford netted 16 to lead New York, which had a small two-game win streak come to an end. Jalen Rose tallied 14 points and Jerome James had 13 points for the Knicks.

The Knicks are 2-5 in their last seven games at Madison Square Garden and 13-20 as the host this season.

Toronto, meanwhile, posted a 97-96 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

Chris Bosh sank a pair of free throws with 3.4 seconds left as Toronto battled back to down the Bucks by only one point at the Air Canada Centre.

Bosh finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Raptors, who won for the third time in their last four games. Mike James and Charlie Villanueva each scored 14 points and Morris Peterson added 12 points.

The Raptors are 1-6 in their last seven road games and 11-22 as the guest this season.

Toronto has won five of the last seven meetings with the Knicks, but has dropped nine of its last 10 trips to the Big Apple.
