(Basketball News) - The Washington Wizards lost to the Boston Celtics, 94-90, on Friday at the FleetCenter.
Gilbert Arenas scored a game-high 26 points for the Wizards, who fell for just the second time in six games. The Wizards have lost four of five and 15 of their last 17 on the road and are 6-23 away from home this season. Juan Dixon added 17 points in the losing effort for Washington.
Boston defeated the Wizards earlier in the year and has won 10 of 15 and 15 of the previous 21 matchups. The Celtics have also won 12 of their last 15 in Beantown against Washington.
Arenas has scored 21 or more points in five straight contests. He has averaged 28.8 points in that span.
Washington is off until Sunday when it hosts Stephon Marbury and the New York Knicks. Earlier this season, the Knicks knocked off the Wizards, 89-87, at Madison Square Garden. The teams will also play on March 16th at MSG and on April 10th at the MCI Center.
