Wizards 87, Hawks 91

Despite playing without starters Josh Smith and Al Horford, the Hawks held off the Wizards in Atlanta. Mike Bibby scored 25 while Marvin Williams notched 21 and 14 rebounds. Zaza Pachulia had 18 boards. Caron Butler led Washington with 32 points and Antawn Jamison had 18 points and 11 boards. The Wizards were outrebounded by 18 in the game, 12 offensive.

Raptors 101, Heat 95

It sucks to have a monster game but still have your team lose. Hopefully, Chris Bosh can help his Olympic teammate Dwyane Wade cope. A night after putting up 40 points and 18 rebounds in a loss to Orlando, Bosh and the Raptors were able to withstand Wade’s 40-point, 11-assist and five-block night to come away with a win in Miami. Shawn Marion would add 20 points and 14 boards in the Heat’s losing effort. The much maligned Andrea Bargnani scored 25 points and Jermaine O’Neal had 16 points and 17 rebounds for the Raptors, who shot nearly 70% from three for the game.

Cavaliers 89, Pistons 96

The Pistons used a hot shooting fourth quarter to erase the remnants of the Cavs’ 13-point lead and erase their eight-game winning streak. Allen Iverson led the Pistons with 23 points while Rasheed Wallace contributed 21 points and 15 rebounds. LeBron James and Mo Williams each scored 25 for Cleveland, who allowed the Pistons to shoot over 50% for the game.

Mavericks 96, Rockets 86

The Rockets tried to make it interesting in the fourth, but without Yao Ming and with Tracy McGrady at less than full-strength, they weren’t able to overtake the Mavs. Dirk Nowitzki had 24 points and 12 rebounds and Jason Terry scored a game-high 31 off the bench for the Mavs, who have won three straight games after a disappointing 2-7 start. The Rockets shot just 37% for the game and just 6-25 from three.

Sixers 96, Wolves 102

With 25 points and eight rebounds from Al Jefferson and 21 points from Craig Smith, The Wolves snapped their eight-game losing streak and won just their second game of the year. Andre Miller led Philly with 20 points and six assists and Elton Brand registered 19 points and 13 boards.

Clippers 108, Thunder 88

Someone had to win. The Clippers earned their second win of the season behind 25 points and 14 rebounds from Chris Kaman and 23 points and seven steals from Cuttino Mobley. The Thunder lost their ninth straight game and only have one win on the season. Kevin Durant scored 18 and Damien Wilkins 17 in the losing effort.

Kings 105, Hornets 96

In a game where both teams shot over 50%, the Kings were able to come out on top, thanks in large part to Bobby Jackson’s eight-point flurry in the final five minutes of the game. David West scored 22 points and Chris Paul recorded 20 points, 15 assists and four steals for the Hornets, who fell to a disappointing .500.

Nuggets 91, Spurs 81

Chauncey Billups had 22 points and six assists and Carmelo Anthony 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as the Nuggets went into San Antonio and beat the injury-riddled Spurs. George Hill led the team with 20 points filling in for Tony Parker, while Tim Duncan was held to 12 points, but did grab 11 boards. This was Denver’s fourth straight win.

Bucks 94, Jazz 105

C.J. Miles scored 25 points and Carlos Boozer 20 and 11 for the Jazz, who played— and won— yet another game without Deron Williams. The Bucks, who were without Michael Redd, were led by Richard Jefferson’s 25 points and 16 and 20 rebounds from Andrew Bogut. The Jazz had 10 blocks on the game— nine of them from Paul Millsap and Andrei Kirilenko— while the Bucks had only one.

Bulls 74, Blazers 116

Uh, the Bulls never really showed up. Not much else to be said about this one.
