East Rutherford, NJ (Basketball News) - New Jersey Nets All-Star point guard Jason Kidd is listed as day-to-day after an MRI revealed a bone bruise in his injured left knee.
The MRI on Monday morning showed no structural damage and Kidd will most likely join his teammates for a four-game road trip starting Tuesday against the Denver Nuggets.
Kidd has been hampered with the injury for more than a week. He played 28 minutes in Sunday’s 100-83 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, recording 10 points and three assists.
Kidd, arguably the best point guard in the NBA, was forced to leave Sunday’s loss with less than three minutes remaining in the third quarter.
The 30-year-old California product is averaging 16.5 points, 9.4 assists and 6.8 rebounds in 57 games this season.
