=== Seattle SuperSonics Team Report - February 28 ===

(Basketball News) - The Seattle SuperSonics suffered their third straight loss on Friday, as they found themselves on the wrong end of a 104-99 decision against the Phoenix Suns at KeyArena.

Ray Allen paced Seattle with 23 points but struggled mightily from the field, shooting 6-of-22 as the Sonics have now lost five of their last six contests. Antonio Daniels had 19 points while dishing out 10 assists and Ronald Murray chipped in 18 points.

Seattle trailed by as much as 17 with less than five minutes remaining in the third period but kept nibbling away at the margin.

Phoenix held Seattle at bay until Allen’s baseline three capped a 9-0 rally that brought the Sonics within four at 94-90 with 3:44 left in regulation. Just as they had done all contest when Seattle threatened, the Suns bounced right back to get more breathing room.

Howard Eisley scored the only two buckets over the next three minutes until Allen’s free throws made it 98-92 with 51 seconds to play.

Seattle just ran out of time as the Suns made their free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

The Sonics, who will begin a four-game road trip on Sunday in Houston, have lost three straight and six of their last seven on the road and are 10-16 away from home this season.

Seattle has already beaten the Rockets twice already this season, but could be at a disadvantage on Sunday, as the home team in this series has won nine of the last 12 meetings. The Sonics, though, have won two of three and four of their last six in Houston.
