WHHW NBA Recap with Video 11/10/08

  By Christopher Sells
11.10.2008 - Updated on 11.11.2008

Thunder 99, Pacers 107

A 37-point, 8-rebound performance by Kevin Durant went to waste as the Pacers pulled away from the Thunder in the fourth quarter to win their second straight game. TJ Ford again flirted with a triple double, with only 7 rebounds to go with his 24 points and 10 assists. The Thunder kept the game pretty close despite shooting under 40% with a strong performance on the offensive glass.

Raptors 87, Celtics 94

Paul Pierce scored 36 points, 22 of of them in the fourth quarter, to help the Celtics overcome a 15-point third quarter deficit. Kevin Garnett posted 21 points and 10 rebounds for Boston while Jermaine O’Neal had 23, 11 and 5 for the Raptors. Chris Bosh managed only nine points in 40 minutes.

Blazers 106, Magic 99

Dwight Howard had 29 and 19 and Hedo Turkoglu poured in 35 points to help the Magic... lose to the Blazers. Portland had amazing balance with five players scoring 16 or more and used an 11-0 run at the start of the fourth to notch their first road win of the season. Rashard Lewis was held to six points and the Magic shot only 29% from long range.

Nets 94, Heat 99

Dwyane Wade continued his strong play this year with 19 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter as the Nets sqaundered a 10-point fourth quarter lead. Yi Jianlian had 24 points and 10 rebounds and Vince Carter scoredd 22, but had an untimely turnover as the Nets were trying to tie the game.

Grizzlies 102, Suns 107

The Suns used a 16-point fourth quarter by Leandro Barbosa and a little home cooking from the referees to hold off Memphis’ rally from 17 down in the third. Barbosa would finish with 27 and Amare Stoudemire added 18. OJ Mayo’s 33 points were the most of his young career. Rudy Gay added 20.
