Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - Jason Richardson scored 22 points and Mike Dunleavy added 21 to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 104-85 victory over Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center.
Troy Murphy contributed 17 with eight rebounds for the Warriors, who have won three of their last four games.
Allen Iverson scored a game-high 33 to lead the Sixers, who have lost four of their last five home games. Iverson, who had five assists and four steals, turned the ball over a career-high 12 times.
The Warriors took a nine-point lead into the fourth quarter and moved out to a 92-76 lead with just less than six minutes to go. A three-pointer by Richardson gave the Warriors a commanding 101-81 lead with 3 1/2 minutes to play and Golden State cruised to the 19-point win.
Golden State, which led by three at halftime, increased its lead with an 11-2 run out of the break. Richardson hit a three and Adonal Foyle capped the run to give the Warriors a 64-52 lead. The Warriors led, 76-67, after three quarters.
The Warriors, who led by one after 12 minutes, moved in front 31-25 on a three-pointer by Mickael Pietrus. Pietrus hit again from behind the arc moments later after the Sixers had crept within a point.
Rodney Rogers scored off a feed from Iverson to give the Sixers a brief two- point advantage, but Golden State used a 10-0 run to regain the lead. Baron Davis scored to tie the game at 36-36 and Pietrus’ jumper gave the Warriors a two-point lead. Dunleavy contributed with four points during the run and Golden State had a 44-36 lead just over five minutes remaining in the opening half.
Golden State, which shot 6-of-16 from three-point range before the break, held on for a 53-50 halftime lead.
