Minneapolis, MN (Basketball News) - The Minnesota Lynx Friday re-signed forward Tamika Williams. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The 24-year-old Williams started all 34 games for Minnesota in 2003 and averaged 8.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest. She also broke the WNBA single-season record for field-goal accuracy (66.8 percent).
Williams has averaged 9.5 points, 6.7 boards and 1.5 assists over 65 career regular-season games and has led the team in rebounding for two consecutive campaigns.
Minnesota opens its 2004 regular season at Seattle on Thursday, May 20.
