Despite playing tough over their last few games, the Bobcats are the NBA’s worst team at 18-49.
Charlotte almost stole one from powerhouse Detroit on Saturday night, but couldn’t stop guard Richard Hamilton. Hamilton scored 23 points in a 108-103 victory, while Chauncey Billups added 20 points and nine assists and Tayshaun Prince had 18 points.
The young Bobcats were led by Primoz Brezec, who totaled 20 points and seven boards. Jake Voskuhl posted 18 points and seven rebounds for the Bobcats, losers of six of their last eight contests.
Charlotte also suffered a 94-78 defeat to the Pistons on March 12 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Bobcats will next play host to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday. They have lost all three meetings so far this season with Orlando, which posted wins on November 15, January 7 and January 20.
