Bobcats try to halt losing streak against Sixers

Following a winless four-game road trip, the Bobcats returned home and suffered another loss on Wednesday, as they dropped a 97-84 decision to the New Jersey Nets at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.

The Bobcats are 0-11 this season when scoring fewer than 100 points.

Brevin Knight paced Charlotte with a season-high 23 points, six rebounds and five assists. Primoz Brezec netted 11 points for the Bobcats, who had a three- game home winning streak stopped and lost for the sixth time in their last seven tries overall.

On the injury front guard Kareem Rush has missed the last two games with a sprained finger and will likely miss tonight’s tilt, as well. Center Jake Voskuhl is nursing an ankle injury and is questionable for tonight’s affair.

Charlotte, which will return home for two games following tonight’s contest, is a miserable 1-10 away from home this season.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, comes in riding a losing streak of its own after falling for the season-high fourth straight time on Wednesday with an 88-85 home setback at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Allen Iverson scored 23 points for the Sixers, who have dropped six of seven.

Samuel Dalembert added 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Chris Webber scored 11, but missed the potential tying three-pointer at the buzzer.

The Sixers, who will head to New Jersey to face the Nets on Saturday, are 6-3 in their building this season.

Charlotte topped Philly, 110-93, at the Wachovia Center earlier in the season, but has lost three of the four all-time meetings.
