Bulls continue free fall

01.3.2006

(Basketball News) - The Chicago Bulls have lost seven consecutive games after starting the season 12-11. The team’s latest failure was a 93-92 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday at the United Center.

Ben Gordon tied his season-high with 28 points and Othella Harrington added 19 points for the Bulls.

"I’m really embarrassed by what happened out there," said Bulls coach Scott Skiles after the game. "We played with very little heart and very little aggressiveness.

The team used a three-guard starting lineup for the second consecutive game which put Michael Sweetney on the bench. Sweetney has started 21 of 30 games this season.

Chicago will play three of the next four games at home where they are just 5-9 this year.

The team was just 5-11 in December including 1-7 at the United Center.

During the current losing streak, the Bulls are averaging 90.0 ppg while giving up 100.4 ppg. They have also committed more turnovers than the opposition in six of the seven games. For the season the Bulls are averaging 94.8 ppg and giving up 97.9 ppg.

The Bulls finish up a three-game homestand against the Seattle SuperSonics on Wednesday. They are 0-1 this season (losing 98-84 in Seattle) and 1-6 against the SuperSonics over the last four years.
