Miami activates Butler from injured list

Butler underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee October 4. He was then placed on the injured list October 27. As a starter, he posted 15.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in 2002-03 as a rookie.
In a related move, the Heat placed forward Malik Allen on the injured list. He underwent surgery on Thursday to remove a bone spur on his right foot.
Allen is expected to miss the next six to eight weeks. He is averaging 4.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 17.4 minutes in five games this season.
