Nuggets host Bucks

02.27.2006

(Basketball News) - The Denver Nuggets have won two in a row and will welcome the Milwaukee Bucks Monday night to the Pepsi Center.

Winners of four of their last five games, the Nuggets posted a 102-101 overtime win on Friday at Minnesota.

Carmelo Anthony poured 30 points, including the game-winning three-pointer, and Andre Miller notched 19 points and 13 assists for Denver, which has won two of three games against the Timberwolves this season.

The Nuggets will be at home for the next two games before heading to Houston on March 3. After two more home games, Denver will open a seven-game road trip starting on March 9 in Philadelphia.

Denver is 7-3 in its last 10 home games and owns an 18-11 mark as the host this season.

Meanwhile, the Bucks are barely clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Michael Redd paced the Bucks on Saturday night against the Hawks with 21 points six rebounds. Milwaukee defeated Atlanta 99-89 at Philips Arena and ended a four-game overall and seven-game road losing streak.

The Bucks are 11-17 on the road this season.

In the first meeting of the season between these two squads, Anthony netted a game-high 38 points to lead Denver to a 100-93 victory on January 14th at the Bradley Center. Earl Boykins chipped in 21 points off the bench for the Nuggets, while Redd scored a team-high 25 points for the Bucks.

This is the second and final meeting of the campaign between the clubs.
