Pacers’ Bender placed on IL

Indianapolis, IN (Basketball News) - Indiana Pacers forward Jonathan Bender was placed on the injured list Friday with a sore left knee.

Bender, who missed 39 straight to open the season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on the knee, missed the last three games. He has played in just three games this season for the Pacers.

In a related move, Indiana activated Primoz Brezec before Friday’s 78-74 loss at Houston.

Forward Scot Pollard also missed the game against the Rockets with the flu.
