Wounded Bobcats: Bogans injury club’s latest

01.23.2006

Charlotte, NC (Basketball News) - The Charlotte Bobcats announced Monday that guard Keith Bogans suffered a Grade 1 right MCL sprain during Saturday’s 101-91 loss to Milwaukee.

With no timetable set for his return, Bogans joins a long list of injured Bobcats that includes forwards Emeka Okafor (ankle), Gerald Wallace (knee), Melvin Ely (ankle), Sean May (knee) and guard Kareem Rush (finger).

"It is unfortunate that we have suffered another injury but we will continue to play hard and compete with the group that we have," Bobcats general manager and head coach Bernie Bickerstaff said.

In 39 games this season, the 6-foot-5 guard is averaging 8.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

"Keith has played well for us this season whenever hes been called upon, and we will miss him during his injury," Bickerstaff said.
