WNBA Update By Christopher Sells 10.3.2008 - Updated on 10.3.2008
| Here is your HoopsVibe WNBA Update:
The Detroit Shock and the San Antonio Silver Stars finished the WNBA regular season, which was interrupted by many of the league’s top players going to play in the Olympics, with their conferences’ best records. They are the participants in the WNBA Finals, which were preceded by the WNBA Playoffs. Yes, this was news to me also. Game Two is tonight, the Shock lead 1-0 in the best of five series.
Candace Parker has been named this season’s rookie of the year, led all vote-getters in All-WNBA balloting and is expected to also be named the season’s MVP. Nothing like having a rookie come in and immediately be the best player in your league. And from what I hear, she’s still with this guy and they have plans to marry.
This has been your HoopsVibe WNBA Update.

Posted by FaSirius on 10.5.2008 | Small World, opps I mean Shelden Williams, opps I mean Chris Sells. Aint really important, he’s not revelant so he’s view don’t really matter. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to him or any other hoopsvibe writer. I was acyally looking for wnba updates and came across this. Maybe if you did more, more people would view it, believe it’s people searching for it taken advantage of the interested viewers but tske it serious if you want to be taken serious . | Posted by Freedom on 10.5.2008 | I like this site when people are allowed free speech and they don’t erase things. This is the internet and America, where we should beable to say how we feel, thank you HoopsVibe for this wonderful opportunites, don’t delete comments anymore . | Posted by caveman on 10.5.2008 | Here’s a tip, women need to quit tryin to compete with men. Just stay at home and do your job making dinner, washing my draws, and giving me some. Now they’re trying to run for president, dominate sports, and be CEO’s. Man I miss the good ol days . | Posted by Tip 101 on 10.5.2008 | It’s hard to take you guys serious about why you don’t like the league and diss it, if actually made points about it. Just telling us the product doesn’t deliver for you, is generic. As so-called hoops writers, should beable to break down the pros and cons, and more of this people may understand where you guys are coming from. . | Posted by sells on 10.5.2008 | saying that i disrespect the women’s game is factually inaccurate. i know what i’ve written and how i feel. in truth, i don’t have any respect for the wnba, not really for the players in it, but because it’s thrown in our faces (or at least it used to be) and built up to be something it clearly isn’t. the wnba isn’t even where most women spend the majority of their time playing. if it’s a second-rate league to them, why should it carry any importance to us? i’ll always go to bat for women’s college ball and international ball, but the wnba has a long way to go before it gains any sort of legitimacy. and we’d cover the wnba more if there was more demand for it. . | Posted by Sabrina on 10.5.2008 | Sexist fu*kers, I use to like this site . | Posted by Project Chick on 10.5.2008 | Ok but how old was she? A former old player. Play someone like Diana Tuarsi or any current player, college or pro and get yo azz beat. Plus it still doesn’t take away the fact that you, Oly, Chris and other writers are making fun of the women who are giving their heart to the game. Because I don’t anyone can disagree at this point that women play with more heart since the can’t corrput them yet like it has done the mens’s game. I would be playing at USC right now, but I got shot, and can no longer play on a team. But I can still beat any of yaw one on one any day. Is it that hard to give the ladies credit? What you can’t even give them enough respect for a weekly update, even if it is B.S. like this article . | Posted by C.Y. Ellis on 10.4.2008 | "You and all the other writers on here have jokes about the women, but I guarantee you can’t beat any of them." - Project Chick Actually, I’ve played one-on-one against a former WNBA player who was also an all-star in two foreign leagues. She was a lot better than I was expecting, but I still won eleven to nothing in back-to-back games. Women’s basketball may be gaining legitimacy, but the role athleticism plays in the sport means that females will never be able to compete with the top male athletes. . | Posted by tight buns Steve on 10.4.2008 | wow, you guys won’t even let the word g--through. I’ll use the correct term Homosexual, better? . | Posted by tight buns Steve on 10.4.2008 | I think all three have cute qualties about them. I do agree however that the site doesn’t show enough respect to womens ball. You could atleast could have give weekly reports. If the site is called HoopsVibe, shouldn’t you talk about womens as well. Don’t worry Chris just because I find you cute doesn’t mean I want to get with you. You straight men, (well I think you’re straight) have a tendency to get the wrong idea about g--men . | Posted by O on 10.4.2008 | they have some close similarities . | Posted by Project Chick on 10.4.2008 | The way you implied it, says enough. Plus you have dogged womens ball in previous articles, check the archives bra. You and all the other writers on here have jokes about the women, but I guarantee you can’t beat any of them. So hate all you want, women’s ball is becoming more popular. You, small world and Shelden have one thing in common, you’re all not very good looking. . | Posted by sells on 10.4.2008 | i have a job, which means i haven’t had time to partake in any of the conversation here and can’t defend myself against small world since i’m on my blackjack typing this. but i definitely don’t look like shelden. i love how everyone assumes i meant something negative about him or the wnba despite me saying nothing of the sort. maybe that’s your view... . | Posted by on 10.4.2008 | Where u at Chris? . | Posted by Hurricane Christina on 10.4.2008 | Sells and Big Small World do lookalike that’s some funny azz sh*t. His voice is weird, but the joints he be on is bangin. Oh and the Shock rule the WNBA. . | Posted by Step yo game up on 10.3.2008 | For a person to have a song called bankroll, he sure looks broke, and his boyz are lame. DTP need to give him a better deal. He aight he’ll never sell a million, maybe 500,000 at the most but that’s being generous. I still can’t figure out how soulja boy went platinum, so I guess anything is possible. Step you game up hip hop . | Posted by Peter Hilton on 10.3.2008 | Is there a way someone can put a side by side clip, damn they look super identical Small world= Chris Sells, that’s crazy! Shelden just looks dump, he’s in a cla-------of his own. Candance must be cheatin and stays with him to spare his feelings, why Candance, why? . | Posted by Vibe on 10.3.2008 | Small world sounds like a slow robot. His voice can get annoying real quick, but he got some hot lines tho . | Posted by *Hip Hop Hood Star* on 10.3.2008 | Funny how this switched to hiphop and lookalike convo. That’s how boring the WNBA, remember that ladies hoops fans. The bankroll video is garbage, but the song is rough. Check out the song Step Back with Lil Wayne, Small World and Freeway, it’s dope. And Celebrity Chick with Chingy, Small World, Luda, and Steph Jones . | Posted by 7 Digits( My Album Coming Soon!) on 10.3.2008 | Damn that bankroll is the sh*t. Small world can spit, the most unknown artist on DTP. Man CSells does look like Small world, and Shelden looks like he could be their retarted cousin . | 1 2 Next >
