Joe’s Pre-Season Predictions

  By Joseph Caporoso
10.28.2008 - Updated on 10.28.2008

MVP - Chris Paul - CP3 will build on what he did last year, as he carries the Hornets to the NBA Finals.

ROY - Michael Beasley - Beasley will score points in bunches alongside Dwayne Wade.

MIP - Zach Randolph - Crazy Pick? I think Randolph will play the good soldier in D’Antoni’s system, leading him to put up some monster numbers.

DPOY - Marcus Camby - I think Camby will prove to be a nice addition for the Clippers, who have a very solid front line.

COY - Mo Cheeks - He will help a young, athletic team reach their potential.

Sixth Man - Ben Gordon - A safe pick because you know he will produce plenty of scoring off the bench.

All NBA First Team

G - Chris Paul

G - Kobe Bryant

F - LeBron James

F - Tim Duncan

C - Amare Stoudemire

All NBA Second Team

G - Steve Nash

G - Deron Williams

F - David West

F - Kevin Garnett

C - Dwight Howard

All NBA First Team Defense

G - Chris Paul

G - Kobe Bryant

F - Ron Artest

F - Kevin Garnett

C - Marcus Camby

All Rookie Team

G - Derrick Rose

G - OJ Mayo

F - Michael Beasley

F - Donte Greene

C - Greg Oden

NBA FInals - Boston vs. New Orleans

- The Celtics are still the team in the East, although I think LeBron will give them another strong run. Out West, the Hornets will benefit from last year’s experience and the addition of David West.

NBA Champs - Boston Celtics

- As of today, there is no reason to think anybody else will take home the crown. The Celtics appear to be just as hungry as they were last year.

NBA Worst Record - OK City

- They are too young and in too good of a conference.

Biggest Rookie Bust - Danillio Gallinari

- I don’t see him playing any major minutes in the Knicks rotation and when you can’t contribute on a bad team as a high draft pick, you are a bust.

WAY better than Jason Kelly’s. Don’t agree with you on ROY, I say Rose, but completely understand where you’re coming from.Being a Kobe fan, I’d give MVP to Kobe, but CP3 is also a good choice. You’re just flat out WRONG when you say Amare is getting first team and Howard is getting second team. Flip those, but Yao ahead of Amare.Lakers DESTROYED NO on all accounts last year, and now they add Bynum. How are they gonna lose to NO?Lakers vs. Celtics Part II, goes to Tinseltown. .

Robert Horry is still up for grabs. No should grab just for an asset, matbe the Lakers should as well. They need another 3 point shooter that was a weak factor last season .

New Orleans acquiring James Posey is going to mean a lot come playoff time. I could just imagine Posey’s reaction to Robert Horry giving a cheapshot to David West. Or suspected cheapshot .

do you mran the addition of James Posey? Because David West has benn there for years. Or do you mean having a healthy David West, I don’t really follow you on that one .

I like your predictions alot better than Jason Kelly, that dude is an idiot. I have a disagreement or two with yours, but you get B+ from me .
