A-Butta and Cross Country continue to dominate the game after the intermission, the difference being that the former also receives contributions from his teammates, who help him make it a 54-42 game with twelve and change remaining. The resurgence of Danny Artest gives H3 hope of running away with the game at this early stage in the second, but, unfortunately for them, it coincides with a team-wide shooting slump.
Meanwhile, Alimoe and his squad hustle their way back into contention, mounting a comeback that has them only four points from tying it up with three minutes to go. Although A-Butta briefly stretches it to six with a mean crossover and reverse layup, Alimoe responds with a floater and a put-back that make it 78-76 at the 1:25 mark.
Thereafter, the teams trade two tricky layups apiece before H3’s Curt is sent to the line for a one-and-one. Although he misses his first, J Records do likewise in the same position just moments later, forcing them to foul again in the dying seconds. This time, however, it’s A-Butta they send to the line, who calmly sinks a pair to put the game out of reach at 84-80.
