Fellow all-star Stixx, however, stamps his authority on the game with a big dunk followed by a tip slam of his own that puts BWS firmly back in control of the game. A cold-blooded triple by Crabby only adds to Rich Soil’s woes as they slip into a fifteen-point hole with five minutes left in the half.
Things go from bad to worse for them as their coach makes one complaint too many and is assessed a technical foul, only to quibble that call and find himself ejected with twenty-one seconds left in the period. Security manages to clear the court within five minutes, and a pair of technical free throws give Black Wall Street a 38-22 lead going into the half.
Veteran guard Speedy keeps the wheels turning after the break, putting in a quick seven points to give his team a twenty-one-point lead. The Monstars briefly flirt with making a run, but the game swings back, forth and back again, with RSM drawing within sixteen at 53-37 midway through the second.
The good work of “The Wire” and his teammates fails to make a sufficient impression on the game, however, as Black Wall Street’s GE and Garnett continue to do as they wish inside, keeping their squad comfortably ahead for the remainder of the game. Although RSM keep going at it until the bitter end (even running a full-court press at one point), they finish the game with only fifty-five points to their opponents’ sixty-nine, Black Wall Street remaining undefeated.
