HoopsVibe Very Quick Call: Pay attention “Sneakerheads” or you might miss something!
Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook will all wear a Jordan Brand signature shoe, redefined for the playoffs. Other players will wear variations of the same shoes in team inspired colors. Each shoe has two standard versions and will have home and away color schemes.
The Air Jordan XX8, the shoe Russell Westbrook has been wearing all season (pictured above), will also be worn by Ray Allen today and was worn by RIP Hamilton, Gerald Wallace and Joe Johnson last night.
If you knew nothing about what the product was, just by reading the description you’d assume the item in question was a cutting edge piece of technology. From the Jordan Brand Nike site– “The AIR JORDAN XX8 boasts an ultra-modern stealth design for elite performance including more technological advances than any AIR JORDAN to date.”
The newly crowned NBA scoring champion Carmelo Anthony won’t have to share his shoe design with any other players. The Jordan Melo M9 features team-inspired white, game royal and team orange color patterns.
Blake Griffin, who debuted the Jordan Super Fly 2 earlier this year, will continue to wear the shoe in team-inspired cement grey, game royal and gym red color patterns.
Chris Paul will be sporting a new and improved version of the shoe he wore all season, the Jordan CP3 VI. The Jordan CP3 VI AE is the “Artisan Edition” of the original with several updates including mesh windows in teh quarter and straps that wrap up from the mid sole.
