Boozer: I Think LeBron Is Going to Stay

Free-agent-to-be Carlos Boozer sounded intrigued about joining Mike D'Antoni's Knicks, but believes if he comes to New York, it won't be in a star tandem with LeBron James.

Boozer and James were Cleveland teammates for King James' rookie year. Boozer left Cleveland the first chance he got -- for a multi-year contract with Utah in 2004. But Boozer doesn't think James will leave his hometown.

"I think LeBron's going to stay," Boozer said before scoring 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting with 14 rebounds in Utah's 103-98 victory last night over the Knicks at EnergySolutions Arena.

"That's my gut. They're doing everything they can to build him a championship. His biggest thing is winning a ring. I think his best chance to win a ring is probably where he's at."

Cavs to Alter Uniforms for Next Season

The Cavaliers are planning on slightly changing their team colors and also revamping their standard home and road uniforms for next season. For about two years the idea has been in the works, the amount of time the team must give the league before making a uniform adjustment, but the designs are not finalized.

It will not be a major change, team sources said, like seven years ago when the team brought back its current "new expression of wine and gold" and a new logo featuring crossing swords.

The Big Appeal: why Kobe Bryant and LeBron James like New York Knicks

Why leave a championship contender for an organization years away from contending?

This is the question Kobe Bryant and LeBron James will face if either leaves the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers as an unrestricted free agent this summer to sign with the dysfunctional New York Knicks.

LeBron James: If I Wanted, I Could Win Scoring Title Every Year

Durant has already said he thinks James will win. James says he doesn't care and, if he did, he'd win the scoring race every year.

"If it happens, it happens, it is not important to me at all," said James, who won the scoring title in the 2007-08 season and at 27.8 points a game is currently the active leader in career scoring average.

"Our team is trying to clinch (homecourt advantage) for the whole playoffs and is more important. If I really wanted to, I if really wanted to win the scoring title I could win it every single year," James said. "Every single year, I could really do it. But it doesn't matter to me."

LeBron Is Keeping an Eye on Danilo Gallinari

Gallinari, who was limited to just 28 games as a rookie due to a back injury that eventually required surgery, has been inconsistent this season. Three weeks ago, Mike D'Antoni criticized Gallinari for his lackluster play, but recently he's been one of the Knicks' most consistent players.

Gallinari's development is crucial for several reasons. He's one of the few Knicks under contract for next season, and his presence could either hurt or help the team recruit a significant free agent this summer. In November, when the Cavs made their one and only visit to the Garden this season, a LeBron James confidant pointed at Gallinari and said "LeBron wants to see how this kid does this year."

After the game, LeBron approached Gallinari to offer encouragement and advised him to make sure he stretches his back before every game. Jordan was never that chummy with Kukoc.

LeBron James to Ink New Deal with Nike

LeBron James has one major free agent decision nearly settled.

James hinted on Sunday that he was close to agreeing to a long-term extension with Nike to continue to be one of their top pitchmen. James' original seven-year contract that paid him in excess of $100 million with bonuses is set to expire in a couple of months.

"I don't plan on going anywhere, maybe I already have a agreement," James said perhaps not wanting to take away from a formal announcement. "I take care of my business on and off the court."

Could Joe Johnson Lure LeBron to Knicks?

ESPN NBA analyst Ric Bucher quoted a league source yesterday when he said that LeBron James might be more interested in coming to the Knicks if they have Hawks' shooting guard Joe Johnson.

"If it's LeBron James they want," Bucher said, "a league source says the Hawks' shooting guard is a very good place to start."

Shaq Returns to Cleveland to Rehab Thumb

Injured Cleveland center Shaquille O'Neal has rejoined the Cavaliers.

O'Neal, who has been out since tearing a ligament in his thumb on Feb. 25 and undergoing surgery, has been resting at home in Florida since the operation. He was back at the team's facility on Monday, but did not speak to reporters after the Cavs practiced and left for a game in Detroit.

General manager Danny Ferry said O'Neal met with doctors and will be starting rehabilitation. He will not be traveling with the team.

Kendrick Perkins: Cavs Are Better without Shaq

"They still haven"t won nothing," he said Saturday of Cleveland. "They're just the best team in the league. They still haven't done nothing we haven't done. Right now, they're the best team in the league and we just got to go at them."

O'Neal has been sidelined with an injured right thumb he suffered against the Celtics on Feb. 25. The Cavs hope to get O'Neal back for the playoffs, but have gone 7-1 without the legendary center.

"In my opinion, I think they're better," Perkins said. "They can run more. You've got Anderson Varejao, who's more of an active body. He gets LeBron (James) open a lot - opens up the paint for him.

"I think they're a better team. Obviously Shaq can help them, but I think they're better - a more fast-paced team."

LeBron James, Fan of Eminem

Last night's game showed off not only LeBron James' game, but also his close knowledge of Eminem lyrics.  Check out the clip below to see LeBron rap along to Eminem's verse on "Forever".

For anyone who watches MTV (and apparently some still do), it would come as no surprise that LBJ knew Em's verse word-for-word.
