The Hornets, Lakers and Rockets have delivered a restructured Chris Paul to the NBA for their approval, according to sources.
HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: Earlier today HoopsVibe News reported that the Lakers, Hornets, and Rockets had submitted a new trade proposal involving Chris Paul.
(The first trade was nixed by the NBA, who owns the struggling New Orleans franchise, because they felt the Hornets weren’t getting enough young talent, while the Lakers were gaining too much financial flexibility.)
In the second trade, the Hornets will receive a couple of first round picks and the Lakers have to take back Marcus Banks and Jason Smith in separate sign-and-trades.
The ball is now in Commissioner Stern’s court.
