Kobe Bryant Eats Breakfast With Phil Jackson, Sticks Hand In Lion’s Cage

It was a busy Thursday for the Black Mamba.

HoopsVibe Very Quick Call: If this is just a regular weekday for Kobe, what does he do for an encore on the weekends?

L.A. Lakers at the Dallas Mavericks

This past Thursday, Lakers stud Kobe Bryant had a day that would qualify as a top 10 day of most people's lives. But to King Kobe, it was just another day as arguably the greatest basketball player of all time.

The king of the court met the king of NBA coaches, then the king of the jungle.

He started the day by eating breakfast with his former Lakers coach Phil Jackson and then spent the afternoon hanging out with a lion on a shoot for a commercial for Turkish Airlines.

From TMZ:

We've learned … Kobe and his former Lakers coach shared a booth at Wendy's Place in El Segundo Thursday morning … chowing down on eggs and other breakfast-y items.

Check out an image of their meeting here. How cool is it that Kobe and Phil go into a regular restaurant for breakfast and just chill? Just based on their pure size alone, even if you didn't know who they were, it would cause people to take notice. But teh entire scene was pretty low-key. And in case you were wondering, Phil Jackson picked up the tab.
After breakfast, Kobe stepped his game up by not only spending quality time with a lion, but by putting his right hand (his shooting hand!) directly in front of a lion's mouth. Check those images our right here.
On one "hand", it was nice of Kobe to pet a lion with his shooting hand to take some of the focus off of his healing Achilles' injury. The fact that he's healthy enough to do "normal" activities bodes well for the upcoming season.
But what I really want to know, is what Kobe and Phil were talking about. Phil essentially settled the argument over who was the better player, Kobe or MJ, in his book., "Eleven Rings."
