Bulls Going After Nash & Kidd

Sources are now reporting that the Chicago Bulls are making inquiries to the Suns and Mavs looking to acquire either Steve Nash or Jason Kidd. This indicates that Rose will almost definitely miss all of next year, but it also indicates the Bulls are confident that if they acquire a solid point guard they can still make a run at a championship in 2013.

The core players deemed as safe include Rip Hamilton, Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah, Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, Omer Asik and Jimmy Butler. This means Chicago doesn’t have a lot of room for negotiation. Yet, the appear to remain hungry for a strong off season pickup.

The two names that keep coming up are Nash and Kidd. Kidd’s passing and rebounding are his best assets, while Nash is a clutch shooter still capable of creating his own shot and improving his teammates. If the Bulls can agree to terms with Nash, Chicago may once again finish the regular season as the best team in the East.
