Police providing security for James’ Ohio home

The Bath Township police department will be providing security around the house of LeBron James on Thursday, as he announces his free agency decision in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Police Chief Michael McNeeley said they have an extra squad of police officers working around James home.

"Whether we get loads of happy fans or unhappy fans showing up outside his home, we will be prepared to keep the traffic moving," he said. "There has been a lot of traffic in the area lately, but there have been no problems."

HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: Hopefully, nothing happens.
No athlete, politician, or movie/music star should have to deal with crazed fans near their home, especially when young children are involved (James has two sons, I believe).
However, James and his people need to look in the mirror. They’ve turned his free agency into a spectacle by dubbing it The Decision and putting it on ESPN.
This thing is reality television -like Survivor, Big Brother, and those damn dancing shows, so they’re partly responsible for whatever reaction they get.
Bottom line: King James and his entourage have acted a fool. The public, it seems, may do the same Thursday night.
