Trade Rumor: Blockbuster Trade In Works To Send Dwight Howard To Brooklyn Nets.

Trade Rumor: Brooklyn Nets are making a play to get Howard using T-Wolves and Kevin Love.

HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: This rumor sounds ridiculous, but with the Lakers playing horrible and continuing to make haphazard moves who knows.

Sources close to the Nets claim that Brooklyn is putting together a package to make another run at getting Dwight Howard into a Nets uniform. This may sound crazy, but keep in mind that Howard has not committed to staying in Los Angeles after this season and some of the other pieces in the equation are highly motivated.

The deal would reportedly send Kevin Love to the Lakers, Brook Lopez to the Timberwolves and Dwight Howard to the Nets. Some other small pieces and picks would be included, but the proposed trade was intriguing enough to start conversation in the Lakers front office. I’m sure the fact that the Lakers are stinking it up this year as they continue to pay top dollar for Howard plays into the equation as well.

Some of the many complications to the deal are that Kevin Love is injured, although reported to be highly motivated to leave Minnesota. It would be difficult to see Los Angeles giving up Howard for an injured Love. Plus, why would the Timberwolves want to lose Love and replace him with Lopez? They would definitely have to get some additional players and picks.

This rumor is a definite long shot, but crazier things have happened.
