New Jersey guard undergoes surgery
East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) – Zoran Planinic of the New Jersey Nets
underwent hand surgery on Thursday and is out of action indefinitely.
Planinic broke his left hand during Wednesday’s contest versus Washington.
A native of Croatia, the 22-year-old Planinic is currently in his second
season with New Jersey, which selected him 22nd overall in the 2003 NBA Draft.
In 15 games this season, he has averaged 7.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
