Clippers’ Kaman undergoes emergency appendectomy
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman
had emergency surgery on Wednesday for acute appendicitis.
Kaman, who was visiting his hometown of Michigan to have his high school
jersey retired, became ill and was immediately taken to Grand Rapids to have
surgery. He is expected to be out at least two weeks.
Kaman missed the first 11 games of the season with a sprained left ankle. In
seven games since coming off the injured list in late November, Kaman
has averaged 2.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest.
