=== New York Knicks Team Report – December 15 ===

(Sports Network) – The New York Knicks host the Detroit Pistons tonight at
Madison Square Garden.

The Pistons won three of four with New York last season and nine of the last
14 matchups. However, Detroit has dropped three of its last four in New York.

The Knicks are trying for their second-straight three-game winning streak of
the season. Jamal Crawford poured in a game-high 30 points, Kurt Thomas added
14 with 12 rebounds and New York held off the New Jersey Nets , 87-79, at the
Continental Airlines Arena on Tuesday.

Stephon Marbury and Jerome Williams each added 12 points in Tuesday’s victory
for the Knicks, who have won three of four.

Leading 71-64 after three quarters of play, New York started to pull away in
the fourth. Two free throws by Crawford, who ended 10-of-11 from the line,
staked the Knicks to a 79-67 lead with 3:44 left in the contest. New Jersey
fought back and trimmed the deficit to four when Jason Kidd connected with a
three, pulling New Jersey to within 83-79 with 39 seconds left in the game.

The Knicks, though, connected on 4-of-4 from the line down the stretch for the
final margin.
