Sprewell sits versus Cavs

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) – Minnesota Timberwolves guard Latrell
Sprewell missed Tuesday’s 107-97 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a
sprained left ankle.

Sprewell suffered the injury after colliding with Bobby Simmons of the Los
Angeles Clippers during the first quarter of Friday’s 113-86 Timberwolves’
victory. The 14th-year veteran and four-time All-Star also hyperextended his
big left toe in the collision.

Sprewell is averaging 12.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 30.1 minutes in 22 games
this season and is shooting 41.7 percent from three-point range.

Trenton Hassell took Sprewell’s spot in the starting lineup and scored 13
points in 39 minutes.
