=== Charlotte Bobcats Team Report – December 22 ===

(Sports Network) – The Bobcats are coming off a home loss to the New Jersey
Nets on Tuesday night. Richard Jefferson scored 28 points to lead New Jersey
to the 94-91 win at Charlotte Arena.

Kareem Rush, who made 10-of-19 shots from the field, posted 23 points for the
Bobcats, who had their five-game home winning streak snapped. Charlotte has
dropped five of its last seven games overall.

Steve Smith notched 13 points, while Emeka Okafor chipped in with 10 points
and 11 rebounds.

Down 87-79 with 3:32 to go, Rush hit a turnaround jumper to cap a seven-point
flurry that got Charlotte within 87-86. But New Jersey scored the next six
points to secure the victory.

Okafor posted his 13th straight double-double for the Bobcats, who had won
their previous two games in overtime.

Charlotte will return to the court tonight, when it takes on the Houston
Rockets at the Toyota Center. One of Charlotte’s overtime victories came last
Saturday night against Houston in the first-ever meeting between the teams.

The Bobcats scored all seven of their OT points from the foul line, as they
defeated the Rockets, 101-100, in Charlotte.
