New York Knicks Team Report – December 22

=== New York Knicks Team Report – December 22 ===

(Sports Network) – The New York Knicks try to get back on the winning track
this evening when they face the Boston Celtics at the FleetCenter.

New York comes into tonight’s contest on the heels of one of their worst
losses of the season, a 123-94 setback at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks at
Madison Square Garden.

Nazr Mohammed had 14 points and 11 boards for the Knicks, who had a two-game
win streak snapped and lost for only the second time in six outings. Stephon
Marbury was held to only 12 points, as New York came out flat and never got
into the game and was booed loudly by their home crowd.

The Knicks, whose worst loss of the season was a 34-point setback at home to
the Celtics on Opening Night, have struggled in the second game of back-to-
back contests this season, going just 2-5 in those games.

New York, which will host Charlotte the day after Christmas, has won three of
their last four away from home and is 5-8 on the road this season.

The Celtics have won two straight from the Knicks and have won 10 of 13, 11 of
16 and 13 of the last 21 meetings with New York. The Knicks have also dropped
nine of their last 13 in Beantown.
