=== Detroit Pistons Team Report – December 23 ===

(Sports Network) – The Pistons dropped an 89-82 decision to the red hot
Chicago Bulls at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Wednesday night.

Chauncey Billups poured in a game-high 32 points and also handed out seven
assists for the Pistons, who have dropped two straight following a two-game
winning streak. Richard Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace and Ben Wallace all scored
12 points in the loss while Ben Wallace also hauled in 15 boards.

Chicago snapped a nine-game losing streak in the series and won for only the
second time in the last 19 overall meetings.

The Bulls led by two after three quarters and quickly increased the margin to
69-64 early in the period on a pair of free throws by Kirk Hinrich.

Andres Nocioni’s jumper at the midpoint of the fourth quarter stretched the
edge to seven points and the Pistons were not able to get any closer than five
points again.

The Pistons had their four-game home winning streak over Chicago snapped.

Detroit has its next two days off before returning to the court on Christmas
Day to face the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse.
