Butler did it, suspended for it

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Los Angeles Lakers forward Caron Butler has
been given a one-game suspension by the NBA for punching New Orleans guard Dan
Dickau in the stomach during a game Wednesday night.

NBA Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations Stu Jackson made the
announcement Thursday.

The incident occurred with 3:27 remaining in the Lakers’ 101-89 win over the
Hornets at the Staples Center. Butler will serve his suspension when the
Lakers host Butler’s former squad, the Miami Heat, on Christmas Day.

Butler, in his first season with the Lakers, is averaging 13.3 points and 4.9
